I learned a lot about Columbine that I didn't know. There were a lot of myths about the event, but through this project I have learned that not all of them are true. I was really surprised to learn that Cassie was not really asked wether she believed in God or not. I also learned that she had a lot of trouble with fitting in at school. I also learned that the boys were not really social outcasts and that they did have friends.
I really liked the project as a whole I think everyone should learn about school violence and that it can happen anywhere. Throughout the project it was really hard to put a personal side to some of my genres, since I don't know what it is like to go through something like that.
I see myself using this project in the future. I learned a lot about this topic then I would have if I just had to write a paper. I thought it was a good way to show your creativity. Everyone did such a great job on their project, and they were really passionate about their topic. It gave everyone in the class a voice, so they were able to show issues that were important to them, and I think that is a very important thing to have in a class.

I decided that I am going to create my project on Columbine High School Shooting. I am going to pick this because it is very important for people to know that these types of traumas happen, and there should be ways to try and prevent these things from happening. My audience will be high school and college aged kids. I can use the internet and some books to help me create my project. I can use and informative essay, eyewitness account, photo gallery/album, newscast, documentary film, medical records, and a letter.

Different Learning Styles
Over the weekend when I went to visit my family I went to my old job at Sesame Place. I have worked there for the past three summers and I am known as the "t-shirt girl," in Mr. Hooper's Emporium. I decided I would go back and teach another team member, Tiffany, how to fold shirts. --To what learning styles does the lesson you were trying to teach seem to appeal (for instance, shooting baskets might appeal most to Kinesthetic and Interpersonal intelligences)?Learning the different ways to fold shirts is Bodily-Kinesthetic, since the subject has to learn different movements. It is also Linguistic, since I had to explain to Tiffany the different folds for each shirt. --In terms of multiple intelligences, what were the strengths and struggles of the person you were trying to teach? How did this help or hinder your efforts? There was difficulty in the beginning since I first tried to explain in words how to fold all of the shirts. She did not really understand when I tried to explain it to her using Linguistic intelligence. Then I tried using Bodily-Kinesthetic and physically showed her the way to fold the shirt. This way worked a lot better, since she is more of a visual learner. It was also easy for Tiffany to learn the different ways the shirts are folded, since she is better in spatial intelligence. This helped her because she is good at arrange all of the shirts in nice neat stacks. Her having great spatial intelligence also helped her in the process, because she was able to find different ways to organize all of the different shirts, after she folded them. --What evidence did you have that the person had learned the lesson? In terms of multiple intelligences, what form(s) did that evidence take?By the time I was finished teaching her she was able to fold all of the shirts the correct way. When the store closed she was in charge of folding the shirts for the next day and they looked great! Bodily-Kinesthetic helped Tiffany most in completing this task, since she was able to learn the motions that are involved with folding hundreds of shirts a night. Revisit your teaching attempt and your healthy meal research/presentation:
How did genre, audience, and purpose figure in those processes?
The purpose for teaching Tiffany how to fold shirts is so that Mr. Hooper's Emporium can look great at the end of the day. It is important that Tiffany knew how to fold the shirts correctly so people will be able to find the correct size of the shirt they would like to buy. Tiffany was my audience, since I was teaching her how to fold. The genre was clothing since she was learning how to fold many different kinds of shirts. The genre for my meal was healthiness, because the goal was to create a meal that was enough for 2 people and was my definition of "healthy." The audience for this presentation was the class as a whole, because they were the ones who voted on the best meal. The purpose of this project was to create a healthy meal under $5 for 2-3 people.

Topic Choice: 9/11
List five facts that you already know about this topic:
1. 9/11 was a terrorist attack on the United States. The al-Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and flew two of them into the two World Trade Centers. Another plane hit the Pentagon, and then the fourth one was aimed for the White House, but ended up crashing in Pennsylvania.
2. It created mass chaos in the United States.
3. Many doctors, nurses, firefighters, and police officers came from all of the country to help New York.
4. All flights were cancelled and the ones that were in the air at the time were grounded. Hundreds of people had to end up staying in Canada right after this attack.
5. Thousands of people died in these four attacks. Many moms, dads, brothers, sisters, aunts, and uncles were lost on this tragic day.
Answer these questions about this topic:
How did it/will it impact the world?
This did not only impact the United States, but the whole world. Throughout the world people were watching the destruction of New York City. Many people in Afghanistan started to leave their country because they were scared of what the United States was going to do to retaliate.

There will always be interest in 9/11 since so many people died that day. Also because it happened so recently and the effects are still being seen today. The world has dramatically changed since that day. Now people are scared to let their own kids walk down the street by themselves. Since that day people have realized just how dangerous the world really is.
