Hi! My name is Krista. I love little kids and meeting new people! My high school years were filled with spontaneity and I enjoyed keeping a busy schedule. I think college is amazing and I cannot wait to become a pre-k teacher. My major is early childhood education. I learn best by hand-on experiences and visuals. I love projects and group assignments, mostly because I'm a pretty outgoing person. I'm not a fan of huge reading assignments. Outside of school I like typical girl things like shopping and hanging out with friends. I played field hockey in high school and I'll be playing intermural fh here.

Final Topic Choice:Sex Trafficking Why? This topic is very important to me. It breaks my heart and it's something I'm very passionate about. For what audience(s) and purpose(s) might you design this project? I want my audience to be an audience that is uneducated on the topic of sex trafficking. I want their ages to range from high school students to parents. The purpose is to raise awareness and to allow others to understand what is truly happening all around the world. Hopefully through my presentation, my audience will find a new gratefulness for the lives they live. What sources might you draw on? I will find sources from all over the place. 2. Contains many farms, farmers markets, Dutch Wonderland, outlets, and SO much more!
3. Lancaster City contains many little shops, cafes, markets, and restaurants. Currently there are 20 decorated pianos scattered throughout Lancaster City.
4. It’s beautiful and attracts a ton of tourists each year.
5. It’s my home and favorite place ever, therefore I could talk about it for days!
Answer these questions about this topic: 1. How did it/will it impact the world? This town is amazing. There is so much to do and see. It’s one of a kind and the most beautiful place to be raised. Its community is strong and unlike any other. The Amish culture is very interesting to many and therefore this town attracts a lot of attention. 2. Why is there still interest in it today, or why will there continue to be interest in it? The two most famous things in Lancaster, PA are the Amish and Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park, both of which I know a lot about. These two main attractions are both growing, therefore continuing to be interesting! 3. Why are you interested in researching this topic? I’ve grown up in Lancaster for forever. I love how it looks, smells, feels, and everything else about it. It’s home for me and therefore, it’s something I’m not only interested in, but something I love as well. 4. How do you personally connect with this topic? I’ve lived in Lancaster for almost 19 years. I know so much about the attractions and everything else anyone would want to know!

Her debut song “Tim McGraw” was released in 2006 when she was only 17 years old. 4. Not only does she write her own songs to sing, but she acts too. She was featured in Valentine’s Day.
5. She dated Joe Jonas as well as Taylor Lautner.
Answer these questions about this person: 1. How did this person impact the world? Her songs have changed the music industry. She has reached people’s lives not only through her music but also through a campaign she helped launch to end internet sex crimes. She also has given money to the Red Cross, many schools, and a fund to help Tennessee floods.
2. Why do we still learn about this person and his/her works today? She is still creating so much music that is not only amazing but inspiring!

I think wikipedia and other internet sources will be useful. I’m sure magazines will be another source, although who knows how reliable that information is. I also think there will be book available to provide more information.

I think that I would find the most information on Lancaster, PA because not only is it a town, it’s a tourist attraction flooded with things to do and people to see. The sources are endless and the information is all over the place! Taylor Swift is something I’m sure I can research and find a lot about, but at the same time, how dependable are the resources I’d use? I’d question the truth in each information found.

Between Taylor Swift and Lancaster, PA, I’d have to say that I truly love Lancaster. Taylor Swift’s music is incredible and her life seems so pure, but at the same time, Lancaster is my home and something I love so much. Everything about Lancaster is interesting to me and I can enjoy first hand all the amazing things it has to offer!
