The ultimate purpose of teaching her this was to show how to easily access a social networking site in order for her to talk with and reconnect with family and age-long friends. The genre of this was mainly informative because my mother was able to be informed by the methods I was teaching her in order to use the Facebook. The audience for this teaching style was mainly my mother and myself because I was the only person teaching her. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nIn the prior week, my group presented a Power Point that focused on healthier eating choices. The purpose of this healthy meal presentation was to show college students how they can sustain a healthy diet without the risk of spending every last dime in their wallets. The genre of the presentation was also informative because it directly showed how to cook and buy a healthy lunch meal. By using the interpersonal multiple intelligence style, I was able to show to her how the Facebook could be used. At first, my mother was not able to understand how to easily search other people's profiles and access her home page. To help solve the problem, I used clear explanations and found specific goals that could be reached in order for her to discover how to use the page. It was not too long after that my mother began to understand how to access her profile and what it meant to &quot;comment&quot; under other people's specific information, such as their statuses and photographs. In addition, I also used the linguistic learning style to further develop my mother's skills on Facebook. Throughout the process, I asked her detailed questions, such as whether she understands what each icon represents. In response, I gave her thorough explanations to any problems she encountered, such as logging in or out of the website. I saw strengths and weaknesses during the process. One of my mother's strengths was that she could easily learn what I had shown her after doing it myself first. For example, it was challenging for my mother to access other people's profiles. To help her, I showed her how I would access another's page, and then she performed the same exercise, leading to a successful result. An important weakness found in my mother was that she was not as willing to learn any new task put in front of her. If something on the Facebook became too complicated for her to understand, she would give up immediately and not want to continue. This hindered many of my efforts in the beginning to try to teach her, however after a little persistence, she was able to grasp it. An hour after I had completed teaching my mother how to use the website, it was clear that she knew how to use it. By this time I saw her consistently logging in and out of the website with ease and then commenting on other people's profiles and statuses. She was able to use the same style of linguistics that I once taught her to show my other family members what she learned during the process.
